• Assisting in field and lab work needed for collection and analysis of estuarine water quality, nutrient, and weather data; • Learning how to calibrate, deploy, and retrieve water quality dataloggers; • Learning how to collect data from a weather station; • Helping SWMP Technicians maintain and troubleshoot field and laboratory equipment; • Intern may also assist with processing invertebrate samples; • Occasionally assisting other GBNERR staff with summer field work; • Participating in GBNERR education and outreach programs; • Attending trainings and other professional development opportunities; • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Office Director; and, • Working alongside the Research Staff and reporting to GBNERR SWMP Manager.
