Lock E-6 • Install PLC Bypass System to allow temporary manual operation of miter gates and valves. Guard Gate No. 1 • Provide traffic control necessary for safe work operations. • Remove existing PLC based motor control cabinet and HMI cabinet at bottom of access stairs. • Install new relay-based motor control cabinet with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and other electrical items of work. • Replace guard gate motor brakes and perform other electrical work in machinery room atop guard gate. • Install emergency generator receptacle with manual transfer switch. Provide buried underground electrical service. • Remove existing steel access stairs and railings. • Install new concrete stairs and steel railings. Repair existing concrete slab at bottom of stairs. • Design, furnish and install Type 1 cofferdam to facilitate sluice gate work. • Remove sluice gate operators, mounts, stems and gates. • Install new sluice gates, stems, mounts and operators. • Install new trash racks at sluice gates. Guard Gate No. 2 • Provide traffic control necessary for safe work operations. • Remove existing PLC based motor control cabinet and HMI cabinet at interior of power building. • Install new relay-based motor control cabinet with VFD and other electrical items of work at power building. • Replace guard gate motor brakes and perform other electrical work in machinery room atop guard gate. • Install emergency generator receptacle with manual transfer switch at power building. • Design, furnish and install Type 1 cofferdam to facilitate sluice gate work. • Remove sluice gate operators, mounts, stems, trash racks and gates. • Install new sluice gates, stems, mounts, operators and reinstall trash racks.
