1. Handheld Parking Citation Devices The City requires handheld parking citation writing devices which are preferably one-piece units. The number of units needed will be determined once the City has a better understanding of their functionality and charging capabilities. These devices should: • Provide user-friendly interface for ease of citation writing. • Provide data retrieval for vehicle license plate information. • Be capable of real-time upload to software or easy to upload at the end of a shift. • Print citations that can be customized to fit the City’s needs. • Enable parking enforcement to take photos of the parking violations. 2. Processing Services Contractor will receive citations from the City and process all citations, including parking citations issued to California and out-of-state vehicles. Contractor must provide processing and conversion for any citations outstanding with another vendor. The City is interested in utilizing a Contractor with excellent customer care and detail with a broad range of parking citation, administrative citation processing, and adjudication services across the United States. 3. Citation Reconciliation City will forward citations to Contractor via hard copy or electronically, based on a schedule approved by the City. Contractor must provide the City with monthly statistical data reports regarding citations. Additionally, the Contractor must include in the report payment information, as well as cancellations, dismissals, voids, corrections and/or other relevant information pertaining to the citation(s) status.
