A) Spay/Neuter Surgeries 1. Perform spay/neuter surgeries for shelter animals, including pre-operative and post-operative care. 2. Ensure adherence to accepted veterinary medical standards and shelter policies. 3. Provide detailed post-surgery instructions for shelter staff and follow-up care if required. B) Wellness Visits/Preventative Care 1. Conduct routine wellness exams for shelter animals, including but not limited to vaccinations, parasite prevention, and diagnostic tests. 2. Offer recommendations for ongoing animal health management. 3. Maintain detailed records of each animal’s health and treatment inside the shelter software (can be done remotely). C) After-Hours Emergency Care 1. Provide emergency veterinary care after normal business hours from 5:00 pm to 7:00 am. a) Diagnostics and treatment options consultations b) Pain Management and Stabilization for injured dogs/cats until the next business day. c) Minor surgical procedures such as amputation due to injury, bot fly removal, wound closures, etc. 2. Respond to critical cases promptly and offer appropriate treatment.
