The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that are able to provide Semi-annual Roof Maintenance Services. The roof maintenance work schedule shall be performed during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, unless permission is granted otherwise by the CHP on-site contact. Contractor will be required to contact the CHP on-site contact to schedule semi-annual maintenance at least three (3) days in advance of inspection. Contractor shall check-in and check-out with the CHP on-site contact upon each service call to provide verification that service has been performed. Maintenance/inspection shall include the following: A. Remove all debris from roof surfaces, gutters, and downspouts. Immediately notify CHP Facilities Coordinator of all deficiencies. B. Photograph and document any deficiencies on the Roof Inspection Checklist, Exhibit A-1. Immediately notify the CHP Facilities Coordinator of all deficiencies. C. Inspect interior of building for signs of water penetration, frost build-up, and structural distress. The CHP on-site will walk the facility with Contractor.
