The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (LTBB) Environmental Services Program is the recipient of a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Solid Waste Infrastructure for Recycling (SWIFR) Save Our Seas Act (SOSA) grant to update and improve our existing recycling stations. Reducing the use of plastic bottles and their waste will be greatly beneficial in terms of reducing the amount of waste that goes into landfills or ends up in our lakes. Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians (LTBB) is seeking a contractor to install five (5) new water bottle refill stations at the Natural Resources Building (NRD) and at the LTBB Pow Wow Grounds. A. Work closely with LTBB Environmental Services Staff on specific areas that need updating and/or improved here stations are to be placed. B. Work with LTBB Maintenance Department and Environmental Services to schedule work being performed. C. Obtain the necessary equipment, supplies, and materials to accomplish remodel D. Permits from LTBB Planning will be required for this project. Inspections will be required, and inspector information will be provided by the LTBB Planning Department. E. Erect safety barriers for staff working on site during upgrades and signage to cordon off work area for safety of LTBB Citizens. F. All work shall be in accordance with applicable tribal building codes. G. Be responsible for Contacting MISS DIG and avoiding any underground cables, lines, etc. H. Install the five (5) water bottle refill stations that will be purchased by LTBB. I. Install two (2) Stations at buildings with existing water lines. J. Install three (3) around the pow wow circle, so a water line will need to be installed/extended from the bath house. K. Dig a trench (above frost line is fine) and install approximately 850 feet of water lines. L. Assess if new well pump is needed; install if necessary M. Work Must Be Completed by July 15, 2025. N. Make turf, parking lot, and sidewalk and curb repairs in areas where Contractor’s equipment damages said areas. O. Grade and Reseed any disturbed soil. P. Responsible for cleaning, removing, and disposal of all debris resulting from this project and removing from site
