Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Review the RTC’s programs in relation to federal legislation and provide ongoing analysis of opportunities and barriers based on the RTC’s priorities. • Assist in the development of federal transportation strategies and an advocacy platform to address the near-, mid-, and long-term goals of the RTC to attract federal funds for its programs and initiatives. • Update strategies and the advocacy platform after each election to align with RTC goals and priorities, especially when there are changes in executive branch leadership or leadership in either chamber of the legislative branch. • Identify potential grants that correspond with RTC priorities; provide strategic advice regarding applying for those grants; and assist RTC staff in the drafting and review of federal grant applications.
