2.2 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES The Mobile Housing Authority is seeking Qualified Contractor(s) for weekly, annual, and semi-annual testing of the Fire Suppression Systems and Fire Extinguishers in buildings owned and operated by the agency and make necessary repairs when needed. All services described shall be completed in accordance with the latest and adopted by the Mobile Fire Department and NFPA 25 Testing and Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems and NFPA 10 Testing of Fire Extinguishers. Successful offeror shall perform weekly fire pump test and one annual test and certification of each Fire Suppression System per year. This inspection shall meet all applicable City of Mobile and NFPA 25 codes. Fire extinguishers will be inspected annually at all Mobile Housing Authority locations. The offeror is responsible for providing emergency services 24/7 365 days a year when needed and within 2 hours of notification. The Mobile Housing Authority reserves the right to grant multiple awards. Either party wishing to terminate the agreement may do so only by providing written notice of termination at least sixty (60) days in advance via certified mail. In the delivery or performance of the goods and business services set forth in the Contract (and any resulting Task Order and Notice to Proceed) and such goods and services shall be delivered timely and in good workmanlike fashion employing the Contractor’s best efforts to complete the goods and services in the best and soundest way and in the most expeditious and economical manner consistent with the interests of MHA. Moreover, the delivery of the goods and services shall all comply with the laws of the United States, applicable regulations and standards of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”), and all applicable state, county, city and local codes and ordinances.
