Contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to open vaults and tanks, remove sewage, inspect, and transport contents from Boat Camp and Vikingsholm, Emerald Bay State Park, Lake Tahoe Sector. Contractor is responsible for supplying miscellaneous materials incidental to service, including safety materials needed or required to perform service at no additional charge to the State. All objects, garbage and debris must be removed from holding tanks each time the tanks are pumped. Contractor is responsible for filtering and removal/disposal of all non-waste items from inside tanks, pit tanks and chemical toilets on or upon pumping and cleaning unrelated to sewage, such as rocks, hazardous waste items such as syringes, etc. Water must be available for servicing tanks. Tanks must be washed down with a high pressure stream of water so compacted waste and toilet paper are broken up, and holding tanks cleaned out to prevent build up of solids, scum, or sand/soil concentrations. When contacted by the State’s Representative, the Contractor shall respond within eight (8) hours to the service site with all necessary labor, tools, and equipment to perform pumping when the service is identified as an emergency. An emergency is defined as a tank that is full or when there is an imminent threat of raw sewage exposure.
