The contractor will provide janitorial personnel up to seven (7) days a week, not to exceed 8 hours per day per employee, to perform the services required based on the facility location. The contractor shall provide fully trained and qualified personnel to accomplish all work required. All janitors under this contract must have prior experience as a janitor. Assigned staff shall be United States citizens or legal resident aliens with valid work permits. The contractor selected must be licensed, bonded and insured. DAY PORTER: City Hall shall have a Day Porter who shall work during normal business hours, excluding City holidays and weekends. These duties include, but are not limited to: A. Monitoring and servicing restrooms, including the restocking of supplies. B. Responding to cleaning requests by City staff. C. Monitoring and servicing interior common areas to keep them clean and free of litter. D. Monitoring and servicing the exterior perimeter, including garbage receptacles. E. Monitoring and servicing conference rooms, elevators, and stairwells. F. Reporting facility hazards and maintenance needs to the Facilities Maintenance division. DAILY 1. Spot clean/vacuum all mats. 2. All hard-surfaced floor areas will be checked and appear clean. No visible spills, dust or garbage on the floor. Stairwells should be checked / cleaned as well. Sweep/mop when visibly needed. 3. Dust service counters. 4. Clean all cigarette urns and trash receptacles. Replace sand as required and/or wash urns to remove stains and dust. 5. Spot clean walls, baseboards, directories, elevator doors and tracks. 6. Clean and wipe all elevator call button plates. 7. Clean and polish all elevator entrance door thresholds 8. Clean and polish drinking fountains. 9. Clean entry door metal trim, doorknobs, glass, sidelights and other interior glass (other than exterior windows) as needed. No fingerprints shall be visible at the start of the Business Day. 10. Push tenant employees’ chairs up into desks and return wastebaskets to the proper position. 11. Clean all sinks, faucets and counters in kitchens, lunchrooms and coffee areas. This includes face of cabinets. 12. Refrigerators: Spot clean exterior, doors/handles and dispenser. 13. Microwaves: Spot clean exterior and interior. 14. Wipe clean all small appliances. 15. City Hall Council Chamber balcony, staircase glass and handrail. Spot clean as needed. 16. Empty all waste receptacles. Plastic liners to be replaced on an as-needed basis, but not less than once per week if the receptacle has been used including those in the Galleria. 17. Recycling: Transfer contents of mixed recycling and organics recycling receptacles to the appropriate exterior collection container. Mixed recycling must be placed loose in the exterior recycling container (Recyclables should never be bagged) and indoor organics waste must be bagged in an ASTM D6400 rated compostable bag before being placed in the exterior organics container. Cardboard designated for recycling shall be taken out for appropriate recycling as well. 18. Scrub shower floors with germicidal solution. No mold or soap scum shall be present on floors, walls or ceiling. 19. Restroom: Clean with a detergent/disinfectant and polish all sinks, counters, toilets and urinals, beginning with seats (both sides) and working down. Use acid bowl cleaner in the interior of the toilets, making sure to clean the inner lip of closet and urinals. Pour one ounce of bowl cleaner into urinals after cleaning and do not flush. 20. Restroom: Damp wipe all ledges, toilet stalls and doors. Remove fingerprints, streaks, smudges and foreign matter from all painted surfaces. 21. Restroom: Spot clean light switches, doors, partitions and walls to remove fingerprints, streaks, smudges and foreign matter from all painted surfaces. 22. Restroom: Sweep and wet mop with a germicide on all floor areas. Rinse with clear water and dry buff to eliminate mop streaks. No streaks, stain, spills, mineral deposits or soap residue shall be present at the start of the business day. 23. Restroom: Clean and polish all mirrors, soap dispensers, flush meters, shelves, chrome fixtures, piping, toilet hinges and disposal container exteriors using detergent/disinfectant and water. No streaks, stain spills, mineral deposits or soap residue shall be present at the start of the next business day. 24. Restroom: Refill all toilet tissue and paper towel dispensers. Furnish and refill sanitary napkin dispensers. Refill soap dispensers, check operation of all dispensers. Paper liners are to fit feminine protection dispensers in such a manner as to not overhang the top. 25. Restroom: Empty and clean paper towel and sanitary napkin disposal receptacles. Replace plastic liners. 26. Restroom: Report all mechanical deficiencies, dripping faucets, and other problems to the City. 27. Restroom stall partitions shall be checked and cleaned as necessary. 28. Restrooms: fill floor drains with mop water.
