Aviation Maintenance Auto Shop and Logistics are seeking Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Service for Automotive Batteries. Aviation Maintenance Auto Shop currently service over 900 vehicles/equipment for the aviation division. Battery is one of items the shop needs to have them as an inventory stock for the faster repair and service. Batteries are considered hazardous material and require controlled storage and disposition. Additionally, batteries have shelf life and require rotating the inventory stock. The batteries are very heavy and expose safety risks for the workers by lifting and moving. The service requested on this scope of work will potentially reduce safety risks as well as hazardous risks. 2. Scope of Work Description 2.1. VMI solutions for the automotive batteries 2.1.1. Supply all required batteries and their storage cabinet. 2.1.2. On-site delivery, load/unload of batteries and pick-up used/expired batteries. 2.1.3. On-site inventory management of the batteries and create a list of re-stock items according to our inventory Minimum and Maximum order point. 2.1.4. Rotate the inventory to ensure all batteries are not expired and have a good shelf life. 2.1.5. Check the battery containment, pick up and dispose used batteries. 2.1.6. Provide core exchange service: Returning cores. 2.1.7. Provide warranty service: Battery warranties and credits. 2.1.8. Provide the containment cabinet for the expired/used batteries. 2.1.9. Provide cabinets for both expired/used and new batteries. Cabinets are required at both Air Cargo-4 and Bus shop and need to be properly secured. 2.2. Frequency of the Service 2.2.1. The vendor shall visit both Air Cargo-4 and Bus shop weekly at minimum. 2.2.2. If batteries are ordered that are not in the cabinet, or if the Port runs out of stock, the vendor shall make extra trip to deliver batteries within eight (8) hours during regular business hours. 2.2.3. Weekly inventory management and delivery of the batteries. 2.2.4. Weekly check-in for the core exchange service. 2.2.5. Weekly check-in for the warranty service.
