Manhattan Beach Unified School District (“District”) is requesting bids for the construction of protective barrier netting at Mira Costa High School for the purpose to protect pedestrians, cars, and audiences from the softball/baseball fields at Mira Costa High School. The scope of work for this project is additionally detailed in the documents associated with the Division of the State Architect’s Application Number 03-124951, but, broadly, include: General notes: • Construction of cantilever steel netting support posts • Netting installed from post to post and attached to existing nettings The contractor is responsible for protecting/restoring to original condition any and all turf or grass surfaces as well as other landscaping, hardscape, infrastructure, and building impacted by this project. Additionally, the Contractor is responsible for replacing any existing fencing removed in the course of the Contractor’s work. The Contractor is required to install temporary fencing round the construction area in order to prevent it from being accessed by students and the public.
