These gaps should not be perfect circles, and follow pockets of advanced regen where present. Gaps must be no larger than 100 feet in diameter, except where intolerant species are present. Include appropriate trail protection specs. Note archaeological comments in the compartment folder and establish appropriate buffers. Stand 111 - Mark to cut stand with a target residual BA of 80. Establish 3 regeneration gaps in the stand around pockets that contain aspen. These gaps should include areas with 40% or more of aspen, where possible. Gaps must be at least of 150 feet in diameter.
