Administrative/General Services • Thoroughly understand legislative priorities for the City of Ventura. • Advise the City, including meeting with stakeholders, on developing annual state and/or federal legislative platforms and related programs. • Lead regular (virtual meetings) with City staff to advise, update, and confirm legislative approach. • Be available to discuss immediate concerns (via phone or virtual meetings) or answer technical questions outside of regular meetings. • Provide drafts of letters for the City of Ventura in the preferred format and style. • Provide monthly invoices which clearly indicate the service provided (invoice number and type of service). Legislative Monitoring and Analysis: • Track and analyze all relevant state and/or federal legislation, regulations, and policy initiatives. • Assess the potential impact of proposed legislation on the municipality. • Provide regular updates on key developments impacting Ventura's priorities, including clear assessments of opportunities and threats, with actionable recommendations...
