Scope of Services: Provide all services and equipment necessary to collect, transport, process and market the material collected at the City owned and operated recycling facility. The proposal shall address the cost and revenue regarding the following items; as well as, any other information that will allow for a complete assessment of proposal and allow a direct comparison of cost and benefits compared to other proposers. • The Center accepts newsprint, cardboard, magazines, number 1 and 2 plastics, glass, office paper, tin and aluminum. A list of currently recycled products is included on the attached recycling brochure. • Proposal shall address the possibility of acceptance of “chip board” style cardboard and Number 5 plastics. Cost and revenue associated with these products shall be included in the proposal. • The Center has several containers that can be utilized by the proposer. Proposals may be submitted that include alternates that include the use of some or all containers owed by the proposer provided that are of the type that can be used by staff and patrons dropping off the recycling material(s). • Provide the City the monthly summary of recyclables collected. A list of recycled volumes from the past several years is attached to this RFP. • Address how the proposers pursues and will continue to pursue the best cost effective market price and share the revenue with the City at an agreed upon percentage(s). • Pick up service will be required by the City on Mondays and/or Tuesday.
