To develop a master plan to design, supply and construct pickleball courts and an ADA playground on an undeveloped portion of land at the Old Spanish Trail Arena property with the following minimum requirements. Bids May be submitted by choosing option # 1, 2, or 3: Bid #1 Pickleball Courts • Minimum of six post tension pickle ball courts, with a goal of eight courts. • 5’’ concrete slab with a turn down beam, 1’ x 1’ thicken edge engineered to hold fence post • Court orientation North-South facing • Each court to be full size at 34’ x 64’ • Acrylic Paint • Court surface colors to be a LEED Credit score of 3. Colors Red, Sandstone, & Ice Blue • Lighting to follow Grand County Dark Sky Ordinance #588 • Perimeter of full court layout to have a 10’ fence with a 4’ fence separating each court. Each court is to have its own entrance with a gate that latches. ❖ Interested in seeing a separate bid price for a shade structure over the pickle ball courts. The shade structure to be made of powder coated metal pipe with wind sails. Bid #2 Playground • Design and construct a Playground that is minimum 50% ADA compliant and meets the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission Guidelines. • Pour in place rubber flooring preferred. Open to other flooring proposals that are ADA friendly and meet the demands of the high heat sandy desert. No tile or chip proposals. ASTM F1292 test data, and site requirements from the manufacture will need to be provided prior to approval of accepted product. Installation will be conducted to meet the requirements of the provided information from the manufacture. • Theme for playground is desired: Moab wildlife/Wild west (The main structure of the facility is an equestrian arena) - examples: animals that would be typically seen in our natural environment, heritage pieces, red rocks. No Arches, Park Ranger, or modern themes. Equipment to look whimsical and fun, not brightly colored manufacture equipment. • Color scheme to be kept to nature colors: Greens, browns, red tones, some blue ok in the flooring concept. • Shade structures added where ever feasible • Swing set to include a swing for an older disabled child, would like to see an option for a wheelchair. • Main play structure to have a wheel chair friendly ramp. Multiple slides, with a look of nature/clubhouse. • Age appropriate equipment with separation (Under 4years, 5-12years) • Signage and labeling throughout the playground • The following activities should be considered when choosing other structures imagination play, balancing (must incorporate stepping blocks – would like to see a log look), climbing, hanging, spinning, push/pulling, sensory, and crawling. Bid #3 General Contractor • Bid to include all elements of Bid #1 & Bid #2 • All required concrete for bid specs • All required electrical for bid specs • All and any needed excavation work for bid specs • The General Contractor assumes full responsibility for all sub-contractors • The General Contractor assumes responsibility for all project deadlines, and will show a scheduled presence onsite to manage the jobsite production.
