The Ocean County Utilities Authority (Authority) is requesting proposals from firms to provide Field Inspection and Materials Testing Services. In general, the work required will include on an as-needed basis field inspection and materials testing services for soils, concrete, bituminous materials, pipe welds, structural steel, fasteners, architectural products, paint sampling for lead content, cured-in-place pipe liner coupons for strength and thickness, and materials for asbestos content. These services are necessary to assure conformance with contract specifications, industry standards, and regulatory codes. Projects include construction of new facilities and rehabilitation of existing facilities. The inspection and testing firm is expected to furnish all required tools and equipment necessary for testing including but not limited to trowels, test cylinders, chain of custody bags, thermometers, sieves, rulers, etc.
