The Lookout 138kV Station Holford line addition project is located at 2009 Lookout Dr, Garland, TX 75044, in Dallas County, Texas. To accommodate a new line position to Holford Road Station, the current Campbell Road line position will be relocated from Bay 4 to the “Future” line position on Bay 5. The existing Campbell Road line A-frame, disconnect switches, surge arrestors, and line and hot line potential transformers will be reused for the Holford Road line. The Campbell Road line, in its new Bay 5 position, will be composed of one (1) new A-frame, and corresponding four (4) foundations. Equipment to be installed on the A-frame includes: one (1) 3-phase 3000A-rated line disconnect switch and three (3) surge arrestors. The following electrical equipment and foundations will also be installed for the new Campbell Road line position: three (3) line capacitor voltage transformers, one (1) 138kV 3-phase breaker disconnect switch, and one (1) 138kV circuit breaker, and their respective stand structures and foundations. Communication will be via OPGW, and no power-line carrier or microwave equipment will be required. The ground grid will also be updated as shown in the drawings.
