Install an adhered thermoplastic (PVC) feltback membrane roof system, including, but not limited to, PVC membrane flashings, PVC metal edge/fascia flashing, and other components to comprise a weathertight roof system. The roof system shall comply with the herein specified roof system manufacturer’s standard written and detail requirements. Note: Sika Sarnafil products and system installation requirements have been utilized as the basis of design for this project. Scope of Work Description: 1. Prior to roof construction, contractor to test all scuppers for any defects and notify owner’s representative of nay defects noted for repair. 2. Remove and dispose of all existing base flashings, perimeter metal, pitch-pans, loose gravel, dirt, walk pads, and debris- the field of the roof is to remain. Remove all accumulations of asphalt or any other irregularities to produce a smooth and level surface. All removal, hauling, and disposal procedures must be performed by a certified contractor and must meet or exceed the requirements as set forth by the local, state, and federal agencies that govern these procedures. 3. Install a layer of 72-mil (0.072 minimum thickness) thermoplastic (PVC) feltback membrane (EnergySmart White). The membrane shall be installed directly over the prepared built-up roofing using manufacturer approved plates and fasteners.
