General Scope a. The subcontractor is to include all concrete foundations, piers (include basis of bid for pier depths as shown in pier schedule), grade beams, footings, spot footings, spread footings, void forms, concrete stem walls, vapor barrier, granular fill, slabs on grade, elevated concrete slabs, normal weight concrete roof decks, concrete steps, cast in place seats, steel stair pan infill, concrete ramps, concrete housekeeping pads (within building), concrete curing, concrete beams, perimeter insulation, and, saw cutting. b. Ensure compliance with ACI 301, ACI 318, ASTM, IBC, and local building codes. c. Submit shop drawings, concrete mix designs, test reports, and product submittals for approval. d. Coordinate installation with the Construction Manager, structural engineers, and other trades to ensure proper integration with reinforcement, formwork, and adjacent systems. e. Provide all necessary tools, equipment, formwork, and accessories to complete the work. f. Soil treatment for termite control is to be included in the subcontract. g. The subcontractor is to properly dispose of spoils and other waste per the contract documents & local municipality requirements. Include all fees and/or permits required for proper waste removal. Removal of spoils created by this subcontract from the site to be done immediately, no onsite storage of spoils unless approved by the Construction Manager. h. Provide all batter boards and layout for this work. The subcontractor shall have building corners established by a surveying company; Construction Manager to approve layout. i. The Subcontractor shall clean up and dispose of all excess concrete and waste as directed by Construction Manager to onsite designated concrete disposal area. At the end of the concrete work the excess concrete spoils shall be removed from the site by this subcontract. j. Clean-up of all concrete “splatters” on masonry, structural steel, and other finished products to be the responsibility of this subcontract. k. Grouting of all columns base plates as well as furnishing and installing all isolation joint felt shall be performed by this subcontract. l. Provide temporary fencing at all open excavations not to be immediately poured. m. Protect all openings in floor decks with plywood spray painted with “hole” secured to slab. n. Work shall include backfill of all footings, grade beams, pads, foundations, and miscellaneous concrete structures as required, to provide finished sub-grade elevations ready for slabs-on-grades or finish grading. o. Pointing, rubbing, and finishing as required to provide a complete and finished product to be included in this subcontract. p. The subcontractor shall follow all cold/hot weather placement and protection procedures required by the Work provided under this subcontract, the project schedule, or as directed by the Construction Manager. Ice, hot water, admixtures required for any hot/cold weather concrete pours shall be included in this subcontract.
