The City of Spartanburg is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide a pilot microtransit service program. The purpose of this pilot is to explore the feasibility and effectiveness of ondemand transit services to meet local transportation needs. This pilot program will utilize three (3) vehicles already owned by the City and will need to operate with existing branding that has already been developed. Upon successful completion of the pilot, the City is interested in the potential to expand the program. The selected firm will be responsible for full management of the microtransit services, including but not limited to driver hiring and management, vehicle maintenance, service operations, and ensuring that the service meets the community’s transportation needs. Proposals should be scalable, with room for growth beyond the initial pilot phase.
