Olmsted County is soliciting information from qualified companies interested in developing a dually licensed corporate adult/child foster care setting specifically for two individuals with developmental disabilities (DD). SITE AND SERVICE REQUIREMENTS; 1. A two-bed group home located within Olmsted County. The two beds used for this setting are specific to the participants described below. Beds will not be retained by selected provider. 2. Foster care license for children from ages 12 – 21 and adults ages 18 and older. 3. Home should have the following features: located away from busy roads or highways; have a fenced in backyard; furniture secured to wall/floor; reinforced walls in bedrooms and main living space; tempered glass windows; delayed egress doors; and alarms. Coverage for expenses for any site modifications deemed necessary by Olmsted County and the case manager may be considered for waiver funding 4. Utilization of creative and innovative techniques and approaches to include careful planning and attention to the environment. For example, consideration of special layout of the home, and objects in the home.
