A. Basic Service scope of work is to be performed as stated below and provided on scheduled visits. B. Lubricating System 1. First inspection change oil and filters annually (all new filters will be marked with installation date) 2. Approximately 180 days after first inspection, perform complete oil analysis and provide written report to Physical Plant Director, within 14 days after inspection. 3. Lubricate all fittings. 4. Check and report all leaks. C. Fuel System 1. Change fuel filters elements annually. 2. Check generator set for fuel leaks. 3. Adjust and clean injectors annually. 5. Check operation of fuel transfer pump and check for leaks. 6. Check float switch on day tank. 7. Inspect Main Tank/Day tank fuel levels. 8. Inspect and test all pressure regulators on propane, natural gas fueled units. 9. Inspect governor linkage. 10. Visually Inspect containment basin. 11. Check for contaminated fuel in above ground and inside day tank(s). 12. Where fuel oil being used, once per year perform a basic fuel analysis with results and interpretations of results provided to the Facilities manager within 14 days of the sample being taken. Basic fuel test to consist of the following items: Sulfur Content, Biodiesel Content, Karl Fischer Water, Particle Count, Elemental Analysis, Microbial Growth, Visual Inspection. D. Cooling System 1. Check for leakage. 2. Check coolant level and add coolant as required. Contractor responsible for coolant to add. 3. Test anti-freeze and adjust to 30 degrees below zero. 4. Contractor shall include in his report notifying facility when cooling system requires changing coolant with coolant system flush. 5. Inspect cooling system hoses and clamps for leaks and condition. 6. Service and replace, if required, drive belts and adjust tension. 7. Check condition and operation of remote radiator if so equipped 8. Pressure test radiator semi-annually 9. Record engine cooling temperatures under load and without load. 10. Check louvers for proper operation, blockage, and damage. E. Air System 1. Service air cleaner and replace filters annually. Filter to be marked with date installed. To be done on first visit of contract. 2. Check air intakes, outlets and clean. 3. Check and clean crankcase breather, replace or clean element. 4. Check supercharger for oil leaks, if so equipped. 5. Check condition of turbocharger rotor for wear and seal leakage.
