Work to be done under these specifications is to furnish and deliver over a 12 (twelve) month period the amount of liquid chlorine all in ton containers required for the purpose of chlorinating the water supply of the City of Minneapolis. It is estimated that the total amount required could be up to 500 tons. Chlorine is stored and utilized at two plant locations, the Columbia Height Membrane Plant (CHMP) and the Fridley Filter Plant. Based on historical usage, it is estimated 34 to 42 tons per month will be purchased, with roughly 2/3 going to Fridley and 1/3 to Columbia Heights (estimate only, actual proportion may vary). Actual monthly total use and use at each location will be dependent upon demands and water quality.
