PRE-DESIGN PHASE • Run analytics for all applicable codes, regulations, and standards to be fully compliant with all State of Vermont requirements. • Analyze existing conditions and provide solutions for issues regarding the elevator location, elevator - shaft, hoist way, machine room, foundation, and surrounding areas maximizing accessibility, safety, structure, noise reduction, etc. • Provide recommendations on type of elevator (traction, hydraulic, hole-less hydraulic, machine‐roomless), and make recommendations on the exact make, model, and dimensions of the elevator needed (make sure it is available). • Design development plans for all aspects, including but not limited to, machine room, hoist way, car, door operation, and all electrical and mechanical elements. • Design blueprints and modeling for each floor to include the hoist way, machine room, elevator entrances, and elevator placement. • Work with known elevator companies to provide cost estimates for the elevator and installation.
