The City of Sunnyvale (City) is seeking proposals from qualified claims administrative service firms to provide claims administration and statistical reporting services as a third- party administrator (TPA) for liability claims filed against the City. Proposer shall have at least five (5) years of claims handling experience specifically handling property and liability claims for a local government agency and no prior history of corrective action with the California Department of Insurance. Proposer should demonstrate a strong understanding of the requirements of the California Tort Claims Act and the immunities available to public entities, as specified herein. It is the City’s intent to enter a three (3) year contract with one experienced firm to provide claims administration beginning January 1, 2026 until June 30, 2029. The contract may be renewed for two additional one-year periods if service and rates remain acceptable to the City.
