It is the intent of this supplemental specification to obtain a Bituminous Aggregate Wearing Course mixture which permits the supplier to use new materials or a combination of new materials and reclaimed asphalt as he chooses. There is only one unit price that will be paid regardless of the choice that the supplier makes. VIRGIN AGGREGATES The aggregate used for "Bituminous Aggregate Wearing Course" shall consist of gravel, stone or slag, in combination with natural sand, stone sand or slag sand and shall conform to the grading and physical requirements specified in Table 501-2 of the 1996 MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction the Wearing Mixture shall not contain limestone.
