The Town of Eden is seeking to retain a Consultant, or team of Consultants to provide professional services to oversee and coordinate the development of a Brownfield Opportunity Area (“BOA”) Plan with funding provided by the New York State Department of State (“DOS”). The BOA Plan will result in a detailed description and analysis of the existing conditions, development opportunities, and reuse potential of parcels located in the proposed BOA. The study will strategically focus on key sites that are perceived as catalysts for redevelopment of the entire BOA. The Town of Eden intends to complete a BOA Plan for an approximate 83-acre area characterized with 3-4 potential brownfield sites that are located at the southwestern portion of the hamlet of Eden Center, hereafter to be referred to as South Main Street Study Area or South Main Street BOA. This area includes a portion of the Town’s center and commercial core and consists of residential neighborhoods both within the study area and adjacent to it. (See Attachment B)
