The County of Hamilton will receive bids on Specification 8-2025 SAND, STONE, & GRAVEL ITEMS for 2025 for the Hamilton County DPW until 10:30 a.m. on March 25, 2025, at the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, Hamilton County Court House, Lake Pleasant, New York, and said proposals will be publicly opened and read in the Chambers of the Hamilton County Board of Supervisors shortly thereafter. The County reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantities ordered according to its seasonal requirements. Not only the County but also the towns shall be able to purchase all materials at bid prices quoted herein should they so desire. The bidder hereby agrees to furnish SAND for Ice Control, CRUSHED STONE, and GRAVEL ITEMS which meet the New York State Department of Transportation specifications. Bankrun GRAVEL and SAND must meet the requirements of the Hamilton County DPW as determined by the County Highway Superintendent at the prices quoted on the proposal. Prices may be given per ton or per cubic yard. Prices given per cubic yard shall indicate the weight in pounds per yard in the left-hand column. The pit location must be specified. Prices quoted shall be per yard loaded or per ton loaded where scales are used. Hamilton County requires that for crushed stone, road mix, washed sand, and other processed materials that all deliveries be supported by weight tickets from commercial scales provided that purchases of unprocessed bankrun gravel and unprocessed bankrun sand not be subject to the weighing requirement. SAMPLES representative of each product may be required by the Hamilton County Highway Superintendent or other agent of the Hamilton County DPW before purchases are made. Awards will be made wherever hauling and loading expense and quality of product is most advantageous to Hamilton County Highway Department as determined by the County Highway Superintendent. Awards will be good from date of award for a period of one year or until next award is made. Bid prices shall be honored by the Bidder until a new award is made unless the Bidder notifies the Hamilton County Highway Department in writing that his prices have changed
