It is the intent of these specifications to describe janitorial service requirements for GSW. The primary objective in maintaining clean conditions is to provide a safe, healthy, and pleasant learning and working environment. This environment must be maintained throughout all of the contracted facilities in all variations of weather and occupancy. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to, inspecting, surface cleaning, deep cleaning, and reporting. Items such as restrooms, sinks, walls, carpet, windows, vents, doors, water fountains, furniture, and fixtures must be properly and thoroughly cleaned. The list below is not all inclusive for this scope of work, it is simply an idea of what the Supplier will have to define using APPA II standards. ■ Empty waste receptacles and replace liners (both inside and outside of each building) ■ Sweep floors, corners, and baseboards ■ Vacuum carpets ■ Dust mop and wet mop floors ■ Placing garbage in dumpsters/compactor and cleaning around dumpsters/compactor ■ Clean and sanitize: counters, desks, doorknobs, light switches and sinks ■ Graffiti removal ■ Hard floor buffing and/ or burnishing - (minimum – on a weekly basis) ■ Scrub, strip and seal work – (minimum - floors that require stripping and waxing to be done on a semi-annual basis) ■ Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap/sanitizer dispenser bags ■ Clean walls and partitions and all other contiguous surfaces ■ Dust and wash columns, doors, and door frames ■ Vacuum full rug areas ■ Vacuum upholstered furniture as needed ■ Spot clean carpets, cloth furniture, and sound panels ■ Clean ceiling areas, overhead pipes, wall fans, pictures, plaques, wall or ceiling diffusers, file cabinets, bookcases, etc. ■ Scrub and foam restrooms ■ Emergency response to situations like interior pipe burst or toilet flooding must call Public Safety immediately at 229-931-2245. ■ Wash windows - Window Washing/Glass Cleaning (Interior and Exterior): - Supplier shall clean all interior glass surfaces up to 12 feet above finished floor. - Supplier shall clean all interior glass surfaces above 12 feet on a 2-year recurring cycle beginning with year one of the contract. - Supplier shall clean all exterior glass surfaces up to 12 feet above grade/ finished floor annually. - Supplier shall clean all exterior glass surfaces above 12 feet on a 2-year recurring cycle beginning with year one of the contract, before Fall Semester begins. ■ See Exhibit A attached for general list of expected General Cleaning Services.
