• Reconstruction of approximately 6,300 feet of NYS Route 33 (Kensington Expressway), including replacement of approximately 4,150 feet of the depressed expressway with a tunnel from Dodge Street to Sidney Street, with required electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems. • Creation of green space on top of the tunnel, including the planting of approximately 500 trees that will create a layout like the planting approach used for the historical Humboldt Parkway. Reconstruction of Humboldt Parkway in both the northbound and southbound directions, including sidewalks, curb ramps, pedestrian signals, and pavement markings to create pedestrian crosswalks, bicycle lanes, and parking lanes. • Elimination of partial interchanges at Northampton Street and East Utica Street. • Demolition of existing bridges and retaining walls. • Replacement of drainage systems, including construction of pump stations. • Replacement of traffic signals and installation of Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS). • Replacement and installation of street lighting.
