HMA spillways will be placed between guardrail posts and guardrail posts shall not be installed within the spillway. Spillways must not be constructed within the area of guardrail approach terminals. EMBANKMENT: All embankments for installation of guardrail approach terminals will be per the special detail for Guardrail Approach Terminal Type 2M R-62-H. Embankment should be placed to support the HMA curb per the detail included in this proposal. TURF ESTABLISHMENT: Slope restoration should occur per the special provision 20RC816(A250) Slope Restoration, Bonded Fiber Matrix. Use symbol TDS for the permanent turf seed mixture. HMA SURFACE REMOVAL/TRENCHING: The shoulder must be trenched to a depth to allow the placement of HMA at a thickness matching the current HMA shoulder, estimated at 3.75 inches, or as directed by the Engineer. The edge of the current shoulder must be milled to clean it up and create a good edge for a cold joint. Milling width of the existing shoulder pavement is estimated at between 1 foot and 1.5 feet in width. GUARDRAIL: Guardrail will be placed in accordance with the applicable standard plans and special details. Delineators will be attached to guardrail as described in the special provision 20RC819(A120) Unidirectional Enhanced Delineation - Guardrail Post Mount.
