This agreement will provide construction inspection services for a capital project contract to resurface the asphalt pavement riding surface at the following locations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. 1. Nassau Expressway (NY878) from Burnside Ave to Toll Booth at Atlantic Beach Bridge in the Town of Hempstead, Village of Lawrence, Nassau County 2. Veterans Memorial Highway (NY 454) from Wheeler Road (NY111) to Long Island Expressway (I-495) North Service Road (906B) in the Town of Islip, Suffolk County Proposed work of the project will include milling 2” of the existing asphalt riding surface and replacing it with 2” of new warm mix asphalt. Also included are some isolated full depth asphalt and/or composite pavement repairs, new top course asphalt resurfacing and new pavement markings. Construction Inspection Services to be performed by the Consultant are to ensure that the work of the Contractor conforms to the provisions of the contract documents and all safety requirements. Services to be performed include detailed inspection, on-site field testing of materials & other construction activities as necessary, including field measurement & collection of data necessary to submit monthly & final estimates and progress reports, and preparation of record plans showing all changes from the contract plans.
