The Office of Planning, Policy, and Program Development, Hawaii Department of Health (OPPPD/DOH), pursuant to Act 263, Session Laws of Hawaii (SLH) 2022, is requesting proposals from qualified offerors to develop and execute a coordination system for nonemergency medical air transportation. The objective of this Essential Rural Medical Air Transport (ERMAT) pilot project is to provide access to healthcare for the rurally isolated residents of Lanai by flying residents to other islands for routine healthcare appointments and flying healthcare providers to Lanai to treat patients. A similar, separate pilot project is being conducted for Molokai residents. Any award will result in a contract between the Department of Health (DOH), State of Hawaii and the Provider(s)
