The contractor shall provide all containers, labor and equipment necessary to fulfill necessary refuse and recycling container removal services for AACPS on a scheduled basis, throughout the County’s school system, in a timely and safe manner as directed by the AACPS Operations Department representative. Representative scheduling is identified in the attached Schedules A, B, C and D. 1.2 The contractor shall maintain an adequate office with toll-free telephone facilities to handle all complaints, inquiries, etc. and shall designate a dedicated, knowledgeable field agent capable of responding to calls from designated AACPS employees by 6:30 a.m. Monday – Friday. 1.3 AACPS’ list of required containers is identified in the attachments. The list contains recommended quantities, types, sizes and schedule of service. Bidder should note present locations of current trash compactors and MUST bid same size, quantity and level of service. 1.4 School locations along with requested service requirements are listed in the attachments. Specific site locations shall be forwarded after award of contract. 1.5 Additional locations may be added or deleted at any time throughout the duration of the contract period upon the same terms and conditions, including price. This may include, but is not limited to, increasing or decreasing service at sites, adjusting refuse service to accommodate increased recycling service, and/or changing container sizes at sites. Changes to recycling container size shall be made without charge. Changes to collection locations may be made by AACPS by telephone and/or confirmed in writing via e-mail to the Contractor (facsimile notice is allowed) within 48 hours. The Contractor has 48 hours to deliver or remove recycling or refuse containers after written notification by AACPS project manager. 1.6 Frequent missed pick-ups are considered just cause for termination of this contract.
