The Library anticipates a patron traffic count of 170,000 each year of operation. The space is situated in the Lobby of the Library. The space is designed to attract customers who want a place to relax and enjoy coffee, tea, soft drinks, or a snack. The Vendor agrees to provide coffee and beverages, moderately priced. Prepackaged food may also be offered. Only small appliance preparation (hot plate, slow cooker, panini/sandwich press), coffee brewing, and re-heating on site is permitted. Th Vendor will keep a current list of prices for food and beverage items on file with the Library. It is the operator’s responsibility to obtain all the appropriate licenses and permits for serving food and drink, to the public. The operator will be given an opportunity to cater to groups using the Library’s community meeting spaces. The name of the café will be determined by the vendor subject to final approval by the Library. The space utilized contains approximately 270 square feet with access to a janitorial closet. Customers may consume their purchases on the Library premises.
