The scope of work includes conducting a comprehensive study of the existing domestic water system serving the campus including the incoming water service, storage reservoirs, water treatment, underground piping/valves, and fire hydrants. The study shall also include a review of the sprinkler systems in the existing buildings, campus fire pumps, and options for adding sprinklers to existing non-sprinkled buildings. A hazardous material survey of piping should also be conducted. Recommendations for improvements should minimize conflicts with other existing utilities. Options must be provided. Following the conclusion of the study, the Department intends to continue directly into the design phase of the project. The department may retain the same professional.
