A. Professional Services 1. Asbestos Inspections a. Conduct Asbestos Hazardous Emergency Response Act (AHERA) asbestos inspections b. Develop AHERA management plans c. Provide project management for asbestos abatements d. Provide air monitoring (PCM, TEM and Sample Analysis) for asbestos abatements or fiber releases e. Provide personnel sampling for abatement activities f. Provide asbestos consulting for renovation and remodeling projects g. Provide all project design for Asbestos Management and Abatements in compliance with EPA – 40 CFR Part 763 and Florida Administrative Code 469 1. Asbestos Roofing Surveys a. Conduct asbestos roofing surveys b. Provide analysis and reports (including CAD drawings) on positive roofing materials c. Provide for the monitoring of any asbestos roofing removal including personnel sampling. 2. Asbestos Training – per AHERA and Florida Department of Professional Regulations 3. Radon Surveys a. Conduct Phase I (and possible Phase II) radon measurement surveys for newly constructed buildings in accordance with EPA Measurement Protocol 402-R-92-003 and Florida Administrative Code 64E-5.1208. 4. Lead Paint a. Conduct lead paint (and possibly other heavy metals) surveys for building scheduled to undergo renovation, remodeling or demolition b. Provide lead paint consulting services including abatement project management, project design and monitoring as may be required and in accordance with EPA–40 CFR Part 745 5. Hazardous Waste or Materials a. Characterize, secure, and assist the School Board in coordination of the transport and disposal of any hazardous waste or material, contaminated soil or groundwater in accordance with all local, State and Federal ordinances, rules, regulations and laws 6. Monitoring & Programs a. Provide for employee/student exposure monitoring necessary to determine compliance with applicable standards b. Asbestos monitoring of work areas and personnel during and after abatement projects c. Drinking water monitoring in the form of scope determination, sample preparation, collection, analysis and results interpretation d. Document employees’/students’ possible exposure to chemicals or physical agents, and address employee/student exposure concerns e. Provide both personnel and area sampling, interpret sampling results, and make recommendations regarding appropriate controls, if necessary f. Develop written programs on such subjects as respiratory protection, chemical hygiene (laboratory safety), hearing conservation, and indoor air quality
