It is the intent of Essex County to employ, on an as needed basis, a professional engineering firm capable of providing Professional Engineering Services. Direction will come from the Essex County Superintendent of Public Works or his designee. Payment shall be rendered on a time and material basis for work performed at contracted rates. The majority of the work will be in the area of professional engineering, inspection and testing services for various highway, bridge and building projects more fully described in the APPENDIX A of this Request for Proposals. This RFP is designed to provided interested proposers with sufficient information to submit proposals meeting minimum requirements but is not intended to limit a proposal’s content or exclude any relevant or essential data. Proposers are at liberty and are encouraged to expand upon the specifications to evidence service capability under any agreement.
