The County of Marquette is seeking a qualified and experienced professional consulting firm or individual to develop a CWPP. The consultant will use their professional judgement and experience, in cooperation with local parties, to define the exact scope of the CWPP. The CWPP development process should include but is not limited to: 1. Community meetings a. Work with the Michigan DNR and Marquette County Planning Division to organize community meetings with local firefighting groups and land owners 2. Community Fire Risk Assessment a. Update information from 2014 CWPP including fire history and fire risk map b. Identify the Wildland-Urban Interface and At-Risk Communities 3. Firefighting resources and capacity a. Inventory the firefighting equipment and personal capacity for each firefighting unit within Marquette County b. Assess current emergency wildfire response plans and intergovernmental coordination agreements 4. Mitigation Actions a. Identify priority fuel reduction treatments b. Propose measures to reduce structural ignitability 5. Writing the CWPP a. Draft, edit, and finalize a written CWPP b. Present the completed CWPP to the Marquette County Board of Commissioners
