General 5.2.1 Contractor will provide all labor, equipment and materials to repair guardrail, end terminals, and related appurtenances as specified in the work order or as directed by the County. 5.2.2 Contractor work must comply with the currently accepted Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction Sections 202 and 606 as published by the Missouri Department of Transportation located here: https://www.modot.org/missouri-standard-specifications-highway-construction 5.2.3 The County will determine if guardrail, end terminals, or other related guardrail appurtenances can be reused. 5.2.4 All guardrail materials must conform to the currently accepted Missouri Standard Specification for Highway Construction Division 600, Incidental Construction and Division 1000, materials details as published by the Missouri Department of Transportation. 5.2.5 Materials and components for proprietary crashworthy end terminals must conform to the manufacturer's latest approved design. All components must be from the original equipment manufacturer or an approved equal. 5.3 Guardrail and End Terminal Repair 5.3.1 Removal of Damaged Components: A. If the County determines an existing guardrail, end anchor, bridge anchor section, turndown terminal, crashworthy end terminal or other related appurtenance has been severely damaged, the damaged part(s) must be removed prior to the repair by the Contractor as directed by the County. B. Unless otherwise designated by the County, all severely damaged material(s) that are removed will become the property of the Contractor. The Contractor must remove those damaged material(s) from the right of way and properly dispose of them. C. If the components designated for removal include a concrete pad, all hardware protruding above the surface of the pad must be removed by the Contractor or otherwise cut off flush with the surface of the anchor. The Contractor will abandon the concrete pad in place unless directed by the County. D. Components to be removed will be marked by the County with paint, ribbon, or other convenient methods. E. Unless otherwise directed or approved by County, the Contractor must reuse any undamaged components or materials. If the component cannot be reused then the repair must be done using a new part...
