The City of Sanford, Maine is requesting proposals for consulting services from licensed asbestos consultants for the estimation, inspection, sampling collection, quantification, and documentation of suspect Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) in residential buildings of less than five units scheduled for demolition. Such services are to be conducted and documented in accordance with Maine Department of Environmental Protection rules. The awarded consultant shall be responsible for: 1. Providing an estimate of cost, at the request of the City, for each residential building under five units to be inspected, at the hourly rate and estimated number of lab samples agreed upon; 2. Scheduling an agreed upon inspection date with the City; and 3. Delivering a brief report documenting the findings of the inspection, sampling method, and quantification of suspect ACM found during the inspection to satisfy Maine Department of Environmental Protection rules in relation to demolition actions.
