The City of Glendale Community Services Department, Housing Division (City) is seeking proposals from licensed, qualified contractors experienced in performing the work required for vacant rental apartment or home turnover cleaning services. The contractor must provide supervision and other items, at contractor’s own expense, all equipment, labor, cleaning supplies, to include but not limited to bleach, oven cleaner, glass cleaner, non-abrasive bathroom cleaners, tools, etc., necessary to perform all the required services under this RFP and any resulting contract. The selected contractor, under the terms of a contract, shall be required to provide rental unit turnover cleaning services in preparation of rental units for new tenants. The rental unit turnover cleaning services shall include the following: 3.1 General Cleaning and Sanitizing • All surfaces must be wiped off or washed clean and sanitized. 3.2 Bathrooms • Non-abrasive cleaners shall be used to remove soap scum, mildew, and calcium deposits from bathtubs, toilets, showers, shower walls, sinks and ceramic tile. • Clean and disinfect all bathroom fixtures (faucets, sink, toilet, toilet bowl, bathtub, towel bars, soap holders, medicine cabinets, sink cabinets, shelves, toothbrush holders, etc.) • Grout joints or tub surround panel intersections shall be scrubbed with a soft bristle brush. • Clean mirrors, counters, vanities, ceiling exhaust fan covers, and all other surfaces. • Clean cabinets, drawers and hinges and remove any debris. 3.3 Floor Surfaces • Sweep and mop all floor surfaces. • Tile grout joints shall be brush scrubbed. • Clean all corners, including under the kitchen cabinet tow kick. • Clean baseboards and cove base throughout units, including behind the refrigerator.
