1. Inspect operations and conditions related to the fire sprinkler system in accordance with NFPA standards. 2. Inspect and determine if the fire sprinkler system is in service and in satisfactory condition. 3. Inspect for adequate clearance and condition of sprinkler heads to allow for proper distribution and activation. 4. Inspect sprinkler control valves for proper position, general condition, accessibility, and signage. 5. Inspect and perform required water flow tests for each system from main drain and inspector’s test valve, weather permitting. 6. Inspect fire department connection couplings, caps, threads, clappers, check valves, and drains. 7. Inspect and test fire sprinkler system alarm components for satisfactory condition. 8. Inspect reserve sprinkler head supply. 9. Inspect fire hose stations for condition of valve, hangers, hose, and nozzles. 10. Inspect the general condition of fire visible sprinkler system piping, hangers, drain valves, check valves, gauges and related equipment. 11. Inspect and test operation of system air compressors for proper activation and cutoff, if applicable. 12. Inspect (where applicable) the deluge or preaction valve according to manufacturer’s specifications including interior checks of the valve body, clap, clapper facings, and latching mechanism 13. Clean pilot line and solenoid strainers thoroughly, where applicable. 14. Disassemble, inspect, and clean interior condition of the solenoid release, where applicable. 15. Test all low air pressure alarms, supervisory circuits, and auxiliary functions for proper operation.
