In response to the need to supplement our water supply capacity, the Department of Public Works (DPW) is seeking professional engineering services from firms licensed in New York State to investigate and identify additional groundwater sources on City-owned property. The following tasks are recommended by the City to define a complete scope of work. For a fair comparison of quotations, any additional tasks deemed necessary for the investigation but not listed below should be itemized separately under the "Tasks" section of the RFP response, along with associated costs. Task A: Existing Conditions Investigation • Investigate the designated City-owned parcels to identify the most suitable candidates for test well(s). A GIS map of all City-owned parcels is provided in Exhibit A—review this map to identify any additional potential locations. • Review all available boring and drilling logs from the surrounding areas. • Conduct a site inspection to evaluate on-site geologic and hydrogeologic conditions. • Mark proposed soil-boring locations with blue flags during the site inspection. • A survey may be necessary to define property boundaries. • As part of the existing conditions investigation, consider the existing well field at Geyser Crest. It is imperative that any new well systems do not negatively impact the Geyser Crest Well Field.
