1. Area to be resealed: There are two parking areas at Gordon Sports Complex off W. Gordon Avenue and Willie Pitts Jr Road. The parking area off W. Gordon will begin at and include the stop bar at the entrance to the parking lot and include all the roadway leading to the parking lot area. At the Willie Pitts Jr entrance work will include the stop bar at the entrance and all the roadway and parking lot area. 2. Crack fill: Clean and prep all cracks ¼” or larger. Apply Pramitol or equivalent chemical to prevent unwanted vegetation growth. Fill all cracks after prepping. 3. Asphalt sealcoat: Clean and prep entire existing parking area and roadway surface, applying two (2) coats of asphalt sealer. 4. Parking lot/roadway striping: Re-stripe parking spaces, crosswalks, handicap areas, arrows and all existing markings. 5. Traffic control: Both sections of the parking areas must remain open while the resealing work is taking place. When working on the roadway sections, traffic control will be required by the contractor to ensure public safety. Parking areas should be done in sections to accommodate park visitors need for parking.
