Proposed project practices must be included in the final approved FSP management plan as well as align with the management practices outlined below: Management practices eligible for federal funding are outlined in Appendix A. Practices must meet the five core practice requirements of the UDSA-FS NOFO (USDA-FS-2024-IRA-FLS-03, Page 7): 1) Practices should have a positive impact on climate mitigation and/or forest resilience. 2) Practices should support overall ecosystem health, rather than maximizing any single benefit to the detriment of others. 3) Practices should be designed for site-specific conditions. 4) Practices should be resilient to future changes in climate and weather conditions. 5) Practice implementation and maintenance should be feasible and cost-effective for applicants and the landowners whom they serve. Management practices eligible for state funding include the federal funding practices listed in Appendix A and the following practices as outlined by the FSP Handbook, Appendix D., Pages 27-49: 1) Application of Fertilizers/Soil Amendments 2) Trails and Access 3) Monitoring and Maintenance
