As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for a public works project, Waterline Replacement Project at various locations in the Santa Susana Knolls (Project), which consists of: 1) mobilization, demobilization, and final clean-up; 2) traffic control, construction signage, and traffic maintenance; 3) constructing 4,433 LF of 6-inch polyvinyl chloride waterline & 24 LF of 6-inch ductile iron waterline; 4) constructing 897 LF of 8- inch polyvinyl chloride waterline; 5) 14 6” gate valve installations; 6) 9 8” gate valve installations; 7) 2 10” gate valve installations; 8) 5 air-vac installations; 9) 7 blow-off installations; 10) 84 water service line replacements; 11) 6 fire hydrant installations; 12) hydrostatic testing and disinfection of domestic water mains and services; 13) highlining water systems; 14) masonry retaining wall construction; 15) 578 SF of additional asphalt repair; 16) 3,927 SF of crushed rock driving surface; 17) 7,000 SY Crack and Slurry Seal; 18) 20 tree trimmings; 19) 20 additional potholing for utilities; 20) 100 hours of utility conflict resolution; 21) additional worksite remediation; and 22) all appurtenant work. The waterline is located in the public roadway and as such, coordination with property owner/residents, County Encroachment Permit, and a City Encroachment Permit is required.
