1. Installation of a pedestrian bridge at the busy Route 203-Air Line Trail intersection near Beaver Hill Road. 2. Relocate the existing parking at the Route 203 Intersection. The anticipated location of the new parking is on a Town owned parcel located at 460 Boston Post Road, North Windham, CT 06256. 3. Resurface up to 10,000 Linear Feet (LF) of trail. Trail material (asphalt or stone dust) to be determined based on available budget, and DEEP preference. The location of resurfacing will be from the Route 6 Expressway Trail Entry and the Windham/Chaplin Town line. The Consulting Engineering firm will be responsible for all engineering, design, and planning work associated with this project. All design must align with the requirements, and priorities, of the Town of Windham, Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) and Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP). As a DOT funded project, located primarily on State property, a successful candidate must have demonstrated experience collaborating with DOT and DEEP.
