The work includes all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to construct Phase 2 of the Downtown Danbury Transit-Oriented Development (“TOD”) Streetscape Renaissance Project. This encompasses the Base Bid (a section of Main Street (Route 53) from the intersections of Boughton and Center Streets to 241 & 242 Main Street, station 15+57 aka Segments 1 (south section) and 1B) and the Alternate Bid (a section of Liberty Street between Main Street and Patriot Drive, and a section of Patriot Drive between Liberty Street and Independence Way aka Segment 3). The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of existing streetscape and landscaping elements and the installation of new streetscape features. These include, but are not limited to: sidewalks, crosswalks, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible curb ramps, landscaping, street furniture, parking meter kiosks, replacing and resetting of the existing granite curb and adding bituminous patching in limited areas, new driveway aprons, rebuilding/replacing existing catch basins and replacing some of the catch basins tops, removing and rebuilding stone retaining wall, resetting gas and water valves, resetting other utility manholes and handholes covers, incidental work associated with signing and striping, and related work and materials.
